The administration of Kiev announced that the passage on the Podolsky bridge may be paid, but this is not yet final. This idea should attract international investors.
The Mayor's Office of Kiev shared information on how they are going to attract investors to the construction of the Podolsko-Voskresensky bridge. Gennady Plis, the first deputy head of the Kyiv City State Administration, suggested that in order to pay the costs of building this bridge, it would be necessary to enter a fare or find other benefits.
There is a possibility that the bridge will not be free, but according to the first deputy head of the Kyiv City State Administration, the authorities are looking at different ways of development. It must be that the budget of the capital must reimburse the cost of travel, and travel across the bridge will be carried out with the help of a Kiev resident's card.
Also, Gennady Plis said that the idea of building the bridge has finally begun, including that German investors provided 200 thousand euros to assess the current state of the bridge. Now the Kiev authorities intend to consider all possible ways how to avoid the problem associated with the construction of a new bridge with the Secretary of State of the Federal Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure of Germany, Rainer Bomba. It should also be noted that the metropolitan administration discussed this issue at the state level, with the proposal to finance this project by a private person. The beginning of the construction of a new bridge complex across the Dnieper River started back in 2003, and the end was planned for 2008, but for various reasons, the date the beginning of its operation was changing all the time.
At the moment, construction has been suspended. According to its location, the bridge ran into Rusanovskie Gardens on one side, and the Leninskaya Kuznitsa plant on the other. Despite the unfinished structure, foreign car manufacturers liked this object, they preferred to shoot advertisements for their goods here.
As it became known on October 28, Forma LLC will complete the construction of a 4.8 km long bridge worth UAH 49.98 million, according to the results of the tender. The city administration calculated the costs of 275 million euros to complete the construction of the Podolsko-Voskresensky bridge.
In November of this year, Vitali Klitschko announced that the bridge is likely to be opened in 2019.
